This role involves managing, optimizing, and ensuring the reliability and performance of our database systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Database Management:<\/strong> Oversee the administration, maintenance, and performance tuning of IBM databases and other managed database services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Optimization:<\/strong> Implement and manage database optimization strategies to enhance performance, including indexing, query optimization, and resource management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Monitoring and Troubleshooting:<\/strong> Monitor database performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Backup and Recovery:<\/strong> Develop and manage backup and recovery plans to protect data integrity and ensure business continuity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Security:<\/strong> Implement and maintain database security measures to protect sensitive data and comply with regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Collaboration:<\/strong> Work closely with development teams to design and optimize database schemas, queries, and stored procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Documentation:<\/strong> Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Education:<\/strong> Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Experience:<\/strong> Minimum of 5 years of experience in database administration, with a focus on IBM databases and managed database services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Technical Skills:<\/strong> Proficiency in IBM DB2, SQL, and other database management systems.
