Objectives of this role<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           Developing and implementing procurement strategies and policies for cost optimisation and enhancing supply chain efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           Identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness and adherence to ethical and sustainability standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favourable pricing, payment terms and mutually beneficial agreements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and align procurement activities with organisational goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           Conducting market research and analysis to stay updated on industry trends, supplier capabilities and pricing fluctuations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           Managing supplier relationships, including ongoing performance evaluation, issue resolution and fostering long-term partnerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           Monitoring inventory levels, analysing demand patterns, and implementing inventory management strategies to manage stock levels and avoid shortages or excesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           Implement procurement systems and tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           Source and negotiate with potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and evaluate their suitability based on predefined criteria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           Manage supplier relationships, including regular communication, performance evaluations and issue resolution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and develop procurement plans accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           Analyse inventory levels, demand forecasts and consumption patterns to optimise stock levels and reduce carrying costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           Continuously evaluate and improve procurement practices, including identifying cost-saving opportunities and process enhancements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, performance metrics and cost savings to higher management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           Develop and maintain procurement metrics to track performance, identify areas for improvement and report on sourcing effectiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           Implement sustainable and socially responsible strategic sourcing practices, including supporting local suppliers and promoting ethical sourcing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           Stay updated on regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to sourcing activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Required skills and qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration or a related field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           2+ years of experience as a purchasing manager within the Indian market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, strategies and best practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           Demonstrable experience in the Indian market and familiarity with local suppliers and sourcing channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           Experience in implementing sustainable and socially responsible procurement practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           Strong skills in budgeting, cost optimisation and negotiation techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           Knowledge of vendor management and inventory management systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           An analytical mind with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           Proficiency in using procurement software and systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           Knowledge of local and national laws and regulations related to procurement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022           Willingness to work in a fast-paced and competitive environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
